Good Morning,

Unfortunately, again as a nation we find ourselves faced with the questionable shooting of two African American men. Again we find ourselves struggling with emotions of rage, fear, sadness, and hopelessness. Again the African American community must try to manage the psychological trauma of this event. Of course, our sorrow and rage cannot compare to the grief and overwhelming loss experience by the Crutcher and Scott families. I pray as a nation we will not accept these events, as our “new normal.”

“We are not to simply bandage the wounds of victims beneath the wheels of injustice, we are to drive a spoke into the wheel itself.”

― Dietrich Bonhoeffer
