On this Memorial Day, I just want to encourage everyone to take time to appreciate the small things in their life. These include: the small actions of kindness or thoughtfulness that others do towards you; the small positive steps you have taken towards improving your life, relationships or health; the small steps towards achieving some desired goal. Sometimes we become so focus on trying to achieve the “big stuff” that we miss these small evidences of success. Yet, I do not know of anyone who achieved a personal goal in one step. This practice of appreciating and rehearsing the small things can be very motivating.
Do not despise the days of small beginnings/things.
