Good Morning Everyone,
The past week has been a challenging time for our nation, the United States. We witnessed the tragic killing of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling. Only to witness a few days later the tragic killing of five Dallas police officers; Brent Thompson, Patrick Zamarripa, Michael Krol, Sergeant Michael Smith, Sr. Cpl. Lorne Ahrens, and shooting of six more officers. Today their families are faced with the incomprehensible grief of knowing they will never see their husband, brother, uncle, son, or nephew again. This string of events have left many of us sadden, angry, and anxious. As we move forward, this week let us be prayerful and hopeful that as a nation will come together in a spirit of civility to develop and implement solutions to the violence.
Civility is not about dousing strongly held views. It’s about making sure that people are willing to respect other perspectives.
