Happy Magnificent Monday!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their day, no matter where you find yourself today. We continue today in our quest to conquer our unhealthy fears. Last week we ended with an examination of the evidence that support our fears. If you missed that blog, take some time to read it. As many of you may have realize your unhealthy fears are really a thought. Usually the thought is made up of the beliefs/themes that supports the unhealthy fear. Often unsuccessfully, people try to ignore the thought or stop themselves from having it. The way to manage a negative thought is to replace it with one that is true, and opposite. For example if you fear dying young. Yet, the evidence does not support this. When the thought enters your mind, “I am going to die young.” Your counter thought might be “I will live a long life because I live a healthy lifestyle.” So, today, for those fears in which the evidence was weak. Develop a simple statement/mantra, which is the opposite of that fear. Something that can be easily remembered and repeated when the fearful thought enters your mind.
